Restaurant Latour: Reviews & Ratings

We went for La Tour Restaurant to celebrate a birthday. It was a divine dinner experience, we did the seven course Chef's sampling menu which uses seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and had this with a sommelier wine pairing; everything was immaculate. We were also fortunate enough to watch the sun set while we dined. Just know that if you pay with a credit card there is a surcharge, but aside from this it was a pretty perfect date night.

Wow Wow Wow...My wife took me to the resort for my 50th birthday...but the highlight was this restaurant experience. It's worth every bit, only bad reviews are small portion related...nah.... It's not about that; it's a perfect tease of everything possible done most eloquently. By far... I've lived in the Northeast, a lot in NYC, been to all the top places, the service alone is worth it, the 7-course pairing is epic. I'm sure you can get bulk food somewhere, but if you want a journey, this is it.

My fiancee and I recently visited Restaurant Latour for Valentine's weekend and were BLOWN AWAY. The staff here are completely amazing !!! Especially Trevor, Philip and Matt. When arriving to the restaurant a lovely young lady checked my coat, escorted us to our table and pulled my chair out . As this was our first Michelin Star experience we were super nervous however Trevor the sommelier made us feel incredibly comfortable and played close attention to detail . Not only did he give us great recommendations for cocktails / food choices he curated a special liquid dessert, brought out a stand to rest my purse on, and quickly addressed my food allergy to a starter dish. Now for the food , everything we had was incredible!! I highly recommend the oxtail dish and chocolate mousse . Oh and I cannot forget about the delectable coffee!!!!

This would’ve been such a great experience for so many reasons the food was great. The tasting Porsches were great. The option for having a completely vegetarian menu for us. Vegetarians was so amazing and it was such a great experience with the atmosphere being perfect. My one complaint sounds so small, but it was just a huge thing that resulted in us not being able to enjoy experience, it is freezing freezing cold in there we were not able to enjoy the amazing food and amazing atmosphere and an amazing service and everything about restaurant latour because of the temperature! Please make it just a little warmer haha!

Resturant Latour is a fine dining experience. If the Michelin guide ever recognizes restaurants in the state of New Jersey, Latour will receive Stars. Latour is located within the golf resort Crystal Springs. You do not have to stay at the resort to dine at Latour. You need to make a reservation and there is a formal dress code. The resturant itself is a smaller intimate space with maybe 12 tables. The entire western wall of the dining room is glass so you can see the sunset over the mountian while you eat dinner. The menu is set at either a 3 or 7 course chef's tasting menu. We opted for 7. The food was excellent. Every dish outside of dessert featured a different protein and everything was portioned so that you could enjoy the entire meal. In addition to the 7 courses, the meal included an aperitif, a bread and butter selection, and housemade chocolates after dessert. The service sets the standard for five star dining. There is an entire team of professionals serving you, not just a single person. (Seriously ten+ different people took care of our table.) Every course is delivered and explained. The table is cleared, cleaned and reset for every course. The (soon to be master) sommelier will answer any and all questions you have about wine. We enjoyed our dinner experience and would recommend it. I think it is a great option for something like an anniversary. There are some comments on cost. To not be suprised, set expectations to at least $600 for dinner for two with upward trajectory based on quality and quantity of wine consumption and generosity of gratuity. As a bonus: You can sign up for a tour of the wine cellar and a wine tasting with the sommelier at the resort. You do not have to stay at the resort to do this. There is a fee for the wine tasting. We did both of these before dinner. Note my picture descriptions are basic because I did not take a picture of the menu.

My husband and I went to Latour for our 5 year wedding anniversary and we were absolutely blown away. This was not only a dinner but a true culinary experience. The service, the food, the wine pairing- absolutely perfect. It’s clear the staff have an amazing eye for detail and everything is so carefully thought out. Trevor was phenomenal and took us on a wine pairing journey that enhanced the meals even more. I will be daydreaming about this dinner for months to come and I can’t wait for the next special occasion to go back. I highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!!!

This hidden gem offers a food and wine journey that is second to none on the entire east coast! Chef Ashlin puts an erudite spin on her selections, served by a waitstaff who works in concert with Sommalier Trevor Volpe, as if it were a musical concert. Trevor offers a worldwide wine journey that takes in cultural knowledge and expands the horizons of even the most well traveled folk! Eat here, get the wine pairing, and settle in for the experience of a lifetime! A triple Wine Spectator award winner, this restaurant is one of less than 100 in the USA to hold this impressive award. The wine cellar holds more than 10 million dollars in wine and spirits and the sunsets are magical. Go!!
